THE BLADES

EARLY BLADE EXPERIMENTS

Folded cable damascus body with W2 edge.

Early experiments in kanna blade construction, exploring different body materials around a W2 cutting edge.

One blade uses wrought iron with a W2 edge. Another uses folded cable damascus with a W2 edge, giving the body a very different visual character while keeping the cutting steel separate and purpose-built.

These were part of the process of working out proportions, weld geometry, material behavior, and what I wanted the finished kanna blades to become.
